We had pictures done recently and we were just ‘wowed’ by the outcome. Alice did great and we have some awesome photos to show for it. Here are some of our favorites.
I love this one…Alice shoved some grass in her mouth and it too four hands to get it out!
At the end we gave her a cupcake to symbolize her first birthday. She enjoyed it!
We celebrated my first birthday in Myrtle Beach with mom and dad and all my grandparents!! I love the beach and would have stayed out there all day. I’m getting really close to walking, so I made grammy walk me up and down the shoreline. I’m just not quite ready to let go of her hand and walk on my own.
So my birthday was a blast! We went to the aquarium and saw all kinds of fish and sharks. I liked it, but I held on tight so nothing would get me!
Then came the best part…a whole cake all to myself! I stuck my finger in a few times, then I dug in! I probably would have eaten the entire cake, but mommy took it away and stripped me down right there at the table and put me in the bathtub. Guess I made a mess.
I got lots of cool presents and had so much fun hanging out with all my family. What an awesome first birthday!
We recently had a visit from Alice’s cousin Olivia (2nd cousin actually). We can tell the Holidays are going to be interesting with these two! Olivia is about 4 months, and Alice is 11 months.
We surprised Gigi and Papa, Alice’s great grandparents, last weekend.
And here are a few of Alice’s sweet, funny faces. We just love how animated she’s become!
We had a great Easter. Alice got all dressed up and we headed for church. Nana and Papa joined us. Alice sat with us in church and did great, although it took many Cherio’s and Puffs to keep her going through the service. She sat with us at Time Warner Arena with 11,500 other worshipers!
The arena was packed for Easter service!
Nana made her special “bunny cake” and Papa got a piece before we could get a picture of it! Alice had her own little piece and loved it!
Last weekend we had a play date with Connor. They played so well together. It’s so cute to watch them getting bigger together. Connor has surpassed Alice in size, weight, and he’s probably going to walk unassisted any day now. Alice isn’t quite there yet, but that’s okay. I’m happy with her being my little baby as long as she wants to!
Alice has become such a personality. She talks a lot! Bye-Bye, Hey Doozer! and Fisshhh are her favorites. With the occasional Momma and Dadda. She dances all the time and sometimes takes the dancing to a new level - it can only be described as a head banging tasmanian devil. She has a fifth tooth coming in - that’s for chewing waffles. Favorite show right now is Handy Manny. Favorite food right now is yogurt, waffles or avocados. Favorite toy is the plastic stacking rings at Nanna’s house or my old cell phone.
Here are a few different pics to enjoy:
Grammie Whip and Great Aunt Esther visited recently.
Alice likes to welcome us to her room after a nap.
The weather is warming up so we went on a long wagon ride.
